Attention Government!

Remember that your Blogs should be up and going very soon.  Your first post (Candidate Profiles) is due Monday September 10.  Many students have already sent me their links and I'm excited to see your creations!

Here's the Blog Project Expectations if you need it:

Government:   Student Blog Project                                       Total Value: 100 points

Goal:  Students will create and maintain a unique blog, designed to inform users about the upcoming election.  There are several components to your blog.  Each component is detailed below

A.      Candidate Profiles:  Write a unique profile, including biographical information and position on at least 3 significant issues for at least 3 candidates (Democrat, Republican and your choice)

Due Date:            Mon. 9/10 at 8:00 a.m.   Work Days:                                         Point Value:  3 at 10/ 30 points

*This is the first due date for your blog, therefore you will need to provide me a link to your blog.  Email it to neon7878@yahoo.com by Monday at 8:00 a.m.  Late work will lose 3 points per day from 30 point total.

B.      Election News Reference:  Provide a weekly entry referencing an election news story.  Provide a link to the news story and your own unique comments.  (Consider how this story may impact a specific candidate’s image or ratings, what was the cause and effect of this story, who was the target audience of an appearance or if the appearance was deemed successful etc.)  Write at least 4 statements or one paragraph.

Due Dates:  Mondays by 8:00 a.m (9/24, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12)                                 

Work Days:                                         Point Value: 7 at 6 points each = 42 points

*Late entries will be docked 2 points per day late.  Anytime after 8:00 a.m is considered late.

C.      Make it Relevant:  Write two entries relating our textbook content to the elections.  Write one paragraph (at least 6 lines). 

Due Date:  Oct. 15 and Nov. 15 by 8:00 a.m.        Work Day:                                           Point Value:  12 points
